Congratulations runners and thank you volunteers! Come run the ancient trails of the Pomo people. You will go back in time as you witness the wonder of rugged coastline, sandstone cliffs, kelp-dotted coves, tide pools, pygmy forests and panoramic views. August along the coast normally makes for favorable weather for a fast run. These pristine and historic trails should be on every trail runner and ultra-marathoner's bucket list.

We will cap this event at just 200 runners, combined for all distances to keep this a special and intimate experience.

In addition, to a fun-filled day and Pacific Coast Trail Runs unique vibe, you can expect:
  • Chip timing system for accurate and immediate results.
  • World class aid stations and high energy volunteers.
  • Festival atmosphere at the finish line.
  • Free event race shirt.

Bib Number Pick-Up:

7:30 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. at Salt Point State Park. Park entrance is $7.

Time Limit:

There is a 9-hour time limit for the 50 km distance.




Shirt Options:

Sport-Tek shirt will be included with registration unless a no shirt option is requested.

Sport-Tek: This maximum comfort tee has a roomy, athletic cut and controls sweat. This lightweight soft t-shirt is short sleeve and comes in both men and women's fit. Men's shirt is crew and the ladies has a V-neckline style.

Patagonia Shirts: Stay dry and cool and get some protection from the sun and salt in silky, lightweight Capilene. It’s quick to wick, ultra breathable and fast to dry. Made from 100% all-recycled polyester with 15 UPF sun protections and Gladiodor natural odor control. When ordering the size, they tend to run small.

Located along the rugged California coastline, these trails travel through forested hills, open grasslands, pristine prairies, and pygmy forests with panoramic views of rocky coves and the Pacific Ocean. (Distances are accurately measured using a Rolatape® surveyor's measuring wheel.)

Aid Stations:

Fully-stocked aid stations every 6 - 10 kilometers. You can expect fresh fruit, salty snacks, assorted candy, boiled potatoes & salt, water, and Clif Shot Electrolyte sports drink. If you would like to be sure that you have Clif product, SaltStick capsules, or any other specific item at the event, you should carry it with you. It is highly recommended that runners carry at least 20 oz. of water between aid stations.


T-shirts will be given to all pre-registered runners. Award medals are given to the 1st female and male finishers overall and in each age group. Ribbons are also awarded to the 2nd & 3rd place finishers in each age group. All finishers will receive a custom medal with the race logo. All 50km finishers will receive a custom coaster for the event.

Participants are automatically included in the race series and points are awarded to the first 8 finishers in each age group.
