2013 Results



This is a magical trail full of towering coastal redwoods, lush ferns and rambling streams. The staging area is Huddart Park and follows the trails through Kings Mountain, Bear Gulch and Wunderlich Park. Come and join us for a fun and memorable day to close out 2013!

Bib Number Pick-Up:

We will start at 7:30 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. at the Werder Shelter. Park entrance is $6 per vehicle. No dogs allowed in the park.

Time Limit:

There is an 8 hour time limit and a 2 hour 50 minute cut-off (11:20 a.m.) at 19 Km for the 50 Km distance.

Shirt Options:

Cotton shirts: Unisex 100% “Cotton Soft“ that is short sleeved preshrunk with a tag-less label.

Sport-Tek: These Ultra Performance shirts for ladies or men are 95/5 poly/spandex that keeps you cooler and drier while running. Raglan short sleeves add comfort and makes for easy movement. Ladies has a V-neck while the male shirt is crew.

Patagonia Shirts: Stay dry and cool and get some protection from the sun and salt in silky, lightweight Capilene. It’s quick to wick, ultra breathable and fast to dry. Made from 100% all-recycled polyester with 15 UPF sun protections and Gladiodor natural odor control. When ordering the size, they tend to run small.

Aid Stations:

Fully-stocked aid stations every 7 - 14 kilometers. We will provide a variety of fresh fruit, salty snacks, salted potatoes, PB&J sandwiches, salt tabs, sugary snacks, Clif Shot Bloks, Sports drink, cola and water. If you would like to be sure that you have Clif product, SaltStick capsules, or any other specific item at the event, you should carry it with you. Additionally, it is highly recommended that runners carry at least 20 oz. of water between aid stations.

Awards:

Awards are given to the 1st place female and male finishers overall in each distance. Ribbons are awarded to the female and male 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finisher in each ten-year age group for each distance. Ultramarathon (50km) finishers will receive a custom event coaster.
