Pacifica Trail Run9 Km, 21 Km, 30 Km, & 50 Km(Hikers welcome) Saturday, June 30, 20078:30 a.m.Runs that Aren't Races in Beautiful Places Start: San Pedro Valley Park, Pacifica, CA. Directions. Course: Travel through Eucalyptus trees and past Brooks Falls on your way to North Peak overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The park is located in the northern spur of the Santa Cruz Mountains and features the only undisturbed Coastal Mountain Habitat found in over 100 miles of coastline. (Distances are accurately measured using a Rolatape® surveyor's measuring wheel.)
9 Km - 1,230' 21 Km - 2,930' 30 Km - 4,160' 50 Km - 7,090' (Elevation changes determined using an Avocet altimeter.) Weather: Pacifica Lodging: Hotels/Motels Packet Pick-Up: 7:30 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. at San Pedro Valley Park. Time Limit: There is an 9-hour time limit for the 50 km distance. Aid Stations: Fully-stocked aid stations every 9 - 11 kilometers. You can expect fresh fruit, salty snacks, assorted candy, boiled potatoes & salt, water, and Conquest sports drink. However, it is highly recommended that runners carry at least 20 oz. of water between aid stations. Photo Post-run Picnic: Soup and Chili! Photo Awards: T-shirts will be given to all finishers. While awards are given to the first female and male finishers, PCTR events are designed to be non-competitive, encourage the enjoyment of trail running, and emphasize personal achievement.
