Whether you're considering trail running for the first time or are an experienced ultra runner, we promise you a rewarding experience in a beautiful environment.

 

We are recognized for the spectacular courses, unsurpassed aid stations, well-marked trails, accurately measured distances, distinctive shirt designs, and friendly atmosphere – all at a reasonable price.

 

PCTR events are designed to encourage the enjoyment of trail running and emphasize personal achievement.

 

Start:    Rodeo Beach, Golden Gate National Recreation, CA.  Directions

Course:     Enjoy vistas of the Pacific Coast as you take a scenic tour of the spectacular Marin Headlands with views of Tiburon, San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge.   (Distances are accurately measured using a Rolatape® surveyor's measuring wheel.) 

                  50 Mile -   8,160' 

                100 Mile -  17,720'

                       

Weather:  Rodeo Beach/Sausalito

 

Lodging:  Hotels/Motels, Camping

Packet Pick-Up:  Saturday 5:30 a.m. - 6:30 a.m. at Rodeo Beach.  100-mile runners will weigh-in.  

 

 

 

Qualifications: 

  •   50 Mile - Completion of 50 Km trail run within prior 12 months.

  • 100 Mile - Completion of 50-mile trail run within prior 18 months.

 

Time Limit:   

  •   50 Mile - 14 hours

  • 100 Mile -  32 hours

 

Pacers:  Pacers are welcome after 50 miles.

 

Aid Stations:   Fully-stocked aid stations every 3 - 8 miles.   You can expect fresh fruit, salty snacks, assorted candy, boiled potatoes & salt, water, and Clif Shot Electrolyte sports drink. If you would like to be sure that you have Clif product, SaltStick capsules, or any other specific item at the event, you should carry it with you. Additionally, it is highly recommended that runners carry at least 20 oz. of water between aid stations.  Photo

Awards:   Patagonia Capilene shirts, sandstone coasters, tote bags, and goodies from will be given to all runners.  

 

Awards will be given to the first overall female and male finisher and to the first female and male finisher in each 10-year age group (< 20, 20-29, etc.).  Overall winners do not qualify for age-group awards.

Entry Limit:

  •   50 Mile - 125 runners

  • 100 Mile - 100 runners

 

Frequent Runner:

  • 5% - If you have already entered at least 3 PCTR events this year, you qualify to receive a 5% discount off all PCTR events and merchandise for the rest of the year. Please request to upgrade your online account by clicking on the link under "Account Menu" in online registration.

 

Entry Fees:

  •   50 Mile - $  85 ($95 after 7/26/08)

  • 100 Mile - $200 ($225 after 7/26/08)
